The default Uncategorized category in WordPress cannot be deleted, but you can rename it to better fit your website’s content structure.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
From the left-hand menu, navigate to Posts > Categories.
Hover over the Uncategorized category and click Quick Edit.
Change the Name and Slug to your preferred values.
Click Update Category to save your changes.

Renaming Uncategorized helps your site look more professional and organized.
The Slug is used in the URL for the category and can be customized for SEO purposes.
All posts previously assigned to Uncategorized will automatically use the new category name.
