Removing Sample Content from WordPress

A fresh WordPress installation includes default sample posts, pages, and comments. These are provided for demonstration purposes and can be safely removed before publishing your website.

Follow the steps below to clean up your WordPress site.

Remove Sample Posts

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.

  2. From the left-hand menu, navigate to Posts > All Posts.

  3. Hover over the sample post (such as Hello World) and click Trash.

Remove Sample Pages

  1. From the dashboard menu, navigate to Pages > All Pages.

  2. Hover over the sample page (such as Sample Page) and click Trash.

Remove Sample Comments

  1. From the dashboard menu, click Comments.

  2. Hover over the sample comment and click Trash.
